Carly & Charlie’s Wedding

Carly and Charlie are back! Their wedding was the second day of my back to back wedding weekend. Charlie’s family and friends traveled from New York for their special day. The wedding party was made up of of family and made for a very intimate and incredibly fun gathering.

I did something new for this shoot, which was have one of them tell the other how they wanted them to pose and I took the photograph. They are very cute and I think I will need to implement this is the future.

Pat Clark, aka wedding planner extraodinaire, officiated the ceremony. Afterward there was a lot of dancing and just a fun time had by all. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day!

Jade & Shelly

Last weekend was one of the busiest weekends that I’ve ever had. It was my first time ever photographing back to back weddings and I was lucky enough to get to hang out in Red Lodge. It was exhilarating, exhausting, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jade and Shelly have been dating for quite some time. He is one of my 5 cousins from my dad’s side of the family. They were originally planning on getting married last year and postponed the wedding due to a family emergency. Not only would I have not been able to take their photographs if the wedding had taken place last year, I wouldn’t have even been able to attend.

This past year has been taxing on my family. My Aunt Cyndee recently passed away and this was the first big celebration we have had since then. Even though she wasn’t there physically, I have a very strong suspicion that she was there spiritually. The weather was all over the radar as you can see from the photos. It went from snowing, to raining, to sunshine. Every time I went to get my umbrella it would stop snowing and vice versa – as if it were a little game.

Of all of my cousins, Jade looks the most like my Aunt Cyndee to me. I can see her in his smile, behind his eyes, and in his expressions. Even though he looks the most like her, there is a part of Cyndee in every one of my cousins. It was so fun being part of this day and it really was something very special. Best of luck, Jade and Shelly! I love you guys.

Sheena

I have just recently left my job and have been focusing on many aspects of photography. I love doing commercial work and haven’t really focused on using a model until recently. Luckily, I have some awesome friends who share the same passion. We have been getting together and organizing some new photography shoots, which is my new favorite thing. When we organize these shoots, we are focusing on a skill that we are not yet familiar with or need to practice on. I found myself in Eastern Montana this past weekend and couldn’t wait to get my camera in front of my gorgeous friend, Sheena. Would you have ever guessed this is in Miles City, MT?

Versatile – one of the many words that comes to mind when I think about this girl. Sheena is a Hawaii native with lot’s of attitude. A mother, wife, Zumba instructor, real estate agent, and I think she should insert model here, are some of the many aspects of her life. She is an inspiration and what I consider to be the epitome if a modern day woman. Sheena is intelligent, beautiful, confident and fun! I hope that this is one of the many shoots to come.

Gorgeous shots!

Halley & Ian’s Wedding

Where did the time go? It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that I was in Red Lodge with Halley and Ian for their engagement photo session! It’s sure true that time does fly when you’re having fun.

When I think of Halley, one word comes to mind – classic.  When I told her that she reminded me of Audrey Hepburn with her style, she told me “Wait until you see my dress!” She did not disappoint. The wedding style was retro chic which is perfect for such a beautiful couple.

Halley is a very clever and crafty lady who took the DIY plans for her wedding to the next level. She made an amazingly beautiful broach bouquet, tags for the groosmen’s ties and bridesmaid’s scarves, and the pillow for the rings.  The accessories were perfect for something old, something borrowed, something new, something blue, and a sixpence in your shoe! Halley had everything planned to the last detail, including an adorable Mrs. McDonald hanger for her dress.

Congratulations Dr. and Mrs. McDonald! Here is to wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
